DON’T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY! Check out these comments from previous attendees…

My husband and I attended the conference in Green Bay with 20 of our closest friends. What an experience. This is by far the BEST marriage conference we have ever attended. Mark is so real and passionate about marriage. His no-nonsense approach, wrapped with his gift of humor and showmanship, hit the heart. We were truly blessed by attending. Thank you!

We were so blessed by this seminar … we will definitely be attending again!

Thank you Mark for a wonderful weekend! My wife, Anna, and I went to the Farmington show and had a fantastic time. We both consider our relationship to be a good one but something happened that weekend that was magical. We walked away from the show and just had this unbelievable sense of closeness…”
“I want you to know that I talk about the marriage seminar to everyone I know. When you come back to our area again, I hope to have several couples in the audience to hear you. What you do is so unique! So inspiring!!!

What a super time we had this past weekend up in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin, at Mark’s seminar! It was out of this world!!! We learned so much about each other, and how to handle our differences, plus our strengths!

Great Homeschool Conventions, Inc. is a conservative organization and avowedly ‘young-earth’.
First of Five Great Homeschool Conventions, Inc. is gearing up for a series of five regional homeschool conventions across the [...]

First of Five

Great Homeschool Conventions, Inc. is gearing up for a series of five regional homeschool conventions across the U.S. in 2012. First up: the Southeast Homeschool Convention, March 22-24, 2012, at the TD Convention Center in Greenville, South Carolina—and with a homeschool curriculum exhibit hall, hundreds of homeschooling workshops, dozens of key speakers, and tracks just for teens, parenting and creation apologetics, GHC is expecting the convention to attract thousands of homeschoolers from the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia.

More and more families are choosing to homeschool for a variety of reasons,” stated Mary Jo Dean, a homeschool parent who co-founded Great Homeschool Conventions, Inc., in 2006 with her husband Brennan. “The Southeast Homeschool Convention was created to help encourage and equip those families and help them to create positive homeschool experiences. We anticipate a packed convention center.

Information-Packed Workshops

The Southeast Homeschool Convention will kick off Thursday, March 22, 2012, with the first of what will literally be hundreds of information-packed homeschooling workshops. The homeschool curriculum exhibit hall will be open all weekend and already has over 100 confirmed exhibitors, including My Father’s World, the Institute for Excellence in Writing, Math-U-See, Creation Ministries International and Homeschool Legal Advantage.

Notable Speakers

Speakers slated to participate in the Southeast Homeschool Convention include author and Colson Center for Christian Worldview founder Chuck Colson; Andrew Pudewa; Diana Waring; Dr. Jay Wile; Sonya Shafer; David Hazel; Amanda Bennett; Dr. Jonathan Sarfati; “Homeschool Your Struggling Learner” author Kathy Kuhl; and nearly three dozen other noted homeschool speakers, authors and advocates.

Focused Topic Tracks

Throughout the Southeast Homeschool Convention, parents can attend over 100 workshops covering all academic subjects and spanning all educational levels. Special workshop topics will also be offered, including gifted children, learning styles, unit studies and special needs. Those who want more in-depth instruction on faith-based homeschooling can also participate in specific workshop tracks dedicated to Parenting, Creation Apologetics or the Worldview Teen Track. For families with younger children, the Southeast Homeschool Convention also offers an exciting children’s program throughout the weekend.

Great Homeschool Conventions, Inc. is excited to start the 2012 homeschool convention season in the Southeast,” Dean said. “Last year’s Southeast convention drew thousands of homeschooling families from South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. We know there are many families in that region who are looking forward to the chance to connect with other homeschoolers and get the information and resources they need to thrive at homeschooling.

Greenville, SC (June 7, 2011) – A new name is coming to the Carolina First Center – the TD Convention [...]

Greenville, SC (June 7, 2011) – A new name is coming to the Carolina First Center – the TD Convention Center will make its debut in July 2011 as the conversion of the Carolina First brand to TD Bank continues throughout the Carolinas. Carolina First had a multi-year, naming rights sponsorship of the convention center, which TD Bank assumed with the acquisition of the bank.

“We are pleased to have this relationship with TD Bank that has once again shown its commitment to our community,” said John Castile, Greenville City Manager. “As host to hundreds of events, both consumer and corporate, each year, we feel the TD Convention Center will be a great asset to the bank as they strive to expand their footprint and brand in this region.”

“TD Bank is excited to support this key venue in the state,” said Rob Hoak, Regional President for TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank. “TD Bank remains dedicated to making a meaningful and positive contribution to the communities in which we do business, and we feel having our name on this signature facility is a great way to do so while also sharing our brand.”

About Carolina First Center

The Carolina First Center is one of the region’s largest convention and meeting facilities and has a long history as one of the top meeting places in the Southeast. Though the current building was constructed in 1964, the tradition of industry leaders meeting in Greenville began in 1915. That tradition continues today as the Carolina First Center hosts more than 450 events and 270,000 people from across the state and the nation each year. Events range from popular public shows such as Holiday Fair and the Boat Show, which can draw more than 12,000 people over a weekend, to statewide and regional association meetings and local corporate meetings. The center is also the site of several national/international conferences that bring in customers and partners from around the world.

Originally the Palmetto Expo Center, the facility was purchased by the City of Greenville in 2001. In 2007, of the facility was renamed the Carolina First Center after Carolina First purchased the naming rights as part of the city’s $22 million renovation of the facility.

The Carolina First Center is managed by SMG, a facilities management company that oversees more than 200 arenas, stadiums and convention centers around the world.
